Complimentary hearing tests for Harrods customers and bespoke products
The Karim Fayed Hearing Centre in Harrods is the first of its kind.
Customers arriving at the store will now be able to have a complimentary hearing test, carried out by a top registered
hearing aid dispenser.
Caring for your hearing needs, the centre offers free consultations and provides a full hearing service from custom hearing aids to advanced ear protection devices and MP3 accessories.
In keeping with the store’s promise to provide the best range of services, including a pharmacy and an optician’s, the specially-built Centre will provide customers with appointment only assessments and custom fittings.
However, it’s not just for those who think they may need a hearing test. Also available are bespoke moulded ear-plugs and headphones for MP3 players to maximise comfort and efficiency, and a range of other bespoke products for noise protection.
All profits from the Karim Fayed Hearing Centre will be donated to the Mary Hare School.
The Chairman Mohamed al Fayed’s son Karim Fayed, 24, was the inspiration for the centre in association with Mary Hare, a UK-based charity which specialises in supporting the educational needs of hard of hearing children and young people. Karim Fayed attended the school himself for a number of years.
Karim Fayed said, "Without their support I would have been a different person. The staff there gave me the confidence to pursue my goals. I think it's great that anyone can come to Harrods and get the best hearing test done for free, using the best equipment, and receive advice from top consultants".
The Hearing Centre offers hearing aid fittings and maintenance as well as a range of preventative equipment and bespoke audio devices:
- Custom fitting Bluetooth mobile phone earpieces
- Custom moulded headphones for MP3 players/I-Pods
- Personalised protective moulds for noisy activities such as shooting ranges, music concerts or riding motorcycles.
A variety of brands are offered to ensure the clients’ needs are most appropriately met, including Starkey Laboratories, Phonak, Widex and Siemens.
