Krug Champagne has been quietly redefining excellence since 1843. Six generations
of the Krug family have cultivated the markedly individual character of their exceptional
Champagne, showing that same single-mindedness and sense of purpose with which the
founder, Johann-Joseph Krug, evidenced in his pursuit of making a unique Champagne with a
taste all of its own.
Today, both the 5th and 6th generations supervise every phase of production direct, tasting and blending Krug to meet their own exact specifications. All Champagnes under the Krug name continue to age extremely well long after leaving the cellars and over time, develop an intensely
rich, nutty flavour that remains remarkably fresh.

Tasting Note: The taste of Krug is greatly enhanced by an exceptionally long maturation period (six to eight years) in the Krug cellars before release. The flagship of the house, the Grande Cuvée, has an imposing character and stunning mosaic of flavours. A wonderfully creamy bouquet leads to a magical combination of weight and palate balance. The long, lingering finish is both nutty and toasty, ending with a final flourish of freshness.
