Perched on a wave-washed, rocky headland, the Ardbeg distillery was founded in 1815. Of all the world’s many whiskies, it is the peaty, smoky single malts of the Scottish Hebridean Isle of Islay which are considered the most challenging yet natural of them all. Revered by connoisseurs, Ardbeg stands alone as one of the most delicate and complex of all Islay malts. It does not flaunt the peat; rather it gives away to the malt, the natural sweetness of which subtly intrudes and produces the perfect balance.
Tasting Note: The Mór has exceptional balance and depth. The aromas have lots of toffee and chocolate notes, along with hints of cinnamon spice and smoke. The palate has lots of tobacco smoke and deep peaty notes this gives way to sweeter flavours. This whisky has a very long finish.
