In 1892 work began to convert a mansion house into a distillery and in March the same year it was purchased by William Grant. The basement was converted into a cellar for maturing the whisky, the first for storing the malt and the upper two floors were converted to house the grain.
Tasting Note: Matured in oak casks and old Oloroso sherry butts, this gives the whisky a rich mellow flavour and great complexity. It has a lovely honeyed feel with a sweetness on the back palate. The finish is elegant with a touch of oak.
