Carlei Estate own three parcels of organic and biodynamic vineyards, 11 hectares in all, and all certified by the BFA. Producing around 8000 cases in total, it’s a far cry from the humble beginnings in the family garage just over a decade ago.
Tasting Note: The 2005 Chardonnay from the Yarra Valley has a wonderful fresh flavour full of citrus notes and toasted nuts. The finish is crisp and vibrant.
Food Pairing: The crispness of the wine cries out seafood. Fantastic with oysters or indeed any shell fish. Try with sushi also.
