With 100 years and four generations specialising in Argentine wines, the Catena family, originally from Belforte del Chienti, Italy, settled in the region of Mendoza in 1898. In 1902, Nicolás Catena, the forefather of this winemaking dynasty, was inspired to plant his first vineyard in the Argentine Andes.
Tasting Note: This dark violet coloured wine exudes intense aromas of ripe dark fruit, together with hints of tobacco, cedar and fresh mint. Well-structured in the mouth this wine avails rich flavours reminiscent of blackcurrant, cassis and clove.
