The name Bernadotte was given in honour of Marshal Bernadotte, appointed Sovereign Prince by Napoleon I and voted for in 1818 by the Swedish people to succeed King Charles XIII. The château is a stunning residence in the style of the Restoration, built in 1860 the property was bought in 2007 by Maison Roederer; a company responsible for progressing the original programme of investment considerably.
Tasting Note: A lovely pure nose of dark fruit and perfume. The palate is soft, silky and classy with blackcurrant notes permeating. The texture is fine and long.
