For several generations the Domaine was limited to 17 hectares of land in the Madiran region. With the arrival of Alain Brumont in 1979 the estate has extended to include 100 hectares reaching across the length of the Maumusson hills and including some of the best sites of the region. Widely regarded as one of the most influential French winemakers, Alain Brumont’s passion and high standards are the driving forces behind the creation of these exceptional and globally successful wines.
Tasting Note: The name Vendémiaire is derived from the French word for grape harvest – vendange. This subtle and delectably sweet dessert wine displays complex aromas of passion fruit, marmalade, lemon curd and gingerbread. It is rich and round on the palate with beautiful vivacity and an excellent length.
