Originally named 'La Maison Noble du Bayle’, the Château was first owned by de Mons de Saint Poly family. In 1766, Pierre Guiraud a Bordeaux protestant merchant bought the Château. Within 80 years and three generations, Guiraud had become a prestigious growth, recognized in 1855 as a first growth by the imperial classification. The G de Guiraud is their dry white wine, produced from a blend of Sauvignon and Sémillon.
