Johnny Graham and his wife Caroline Churchill formed Churchill Graham Lda in 1981. Johnny was part of the original Graham’s Port family and has also experience working for key estates in the Douro, including Taylor’s and Cockburn’s. Together, the pair have recently bought two grade A Quintas in the Upper Douro region, Quinta da Gricha and Quinta do Rio, and they are renting a third, Quinta da Perdriz.
Situated at 1,200 feet above sea level, the vineyards in the Pinhão Valley are perfectly suited to nurturing the White Port grape – Malvasia Fina, providing it with all the necessary acidity and balance.
Tasting Note: This is a White Port which is full flavoured with a dry nutty finish, its naturally rich, golden colour is the result of 10 years ageing in wood. The extra ageing gives the White Port a balance and smoothness which puts it firmly in a class of its own.
