Viña Cono Sur was founded in 1993, by founders whose ambition was to create expressive, innovative wines that capture the spirit of the New World. The name ‘Cono Sur’ refers to the geographical positioning to the southerly cone of South America, on whose western edges lies Chile and its many favourable wine valleys. Their vineyards stretch across 40 different estates throughout Chile and the team are in constant search for the best sites to express the aromatic and flavour potential of each variety.
Tasting Note: Blackcurrant, notes of violets and delicate black fruit aromas merge with sweet spice and chocolate in the mouth. Great structure on the palate, with rounded tannins, underlined by crisp acidity and a long finish. A superbly classy wine.
