One of the oldest properties in the Médoc, Angludet takes its name from the knight Bertrand d’Angludet. The vineyard has been here in its entirety since the early 17th century, but in 1791, following the death of its then owner, the property was divided up among four heirs. As a result of this division, Château d’Angludet was not recognised when the Médoc vineyards were classified in 1855. In 1891 however, the property was reconsolidated into a single unit.
Tasting Note: Very deep red colour, shot through with purple tints. Ripe fruit on the nose but incredible finesse and complexity. Same characteristics on the palate, dense, silky and elegant, with rich, ripe tannin structure.
