Founded in 2003 by Patrick Lejeune and his daughter Elsa, Domaine Eternel perches on the hills overlooking the valleys of Maury and Lesquerde below. A stainless steel tank manufacturer by trade, Patrick custom built the winery inside a 100 year-old granite barn. The modern cellar allows for each vineyard to be vinified separately and new winemaking techniques to be explored whilst building on the traditions of old. Domaine Eternel is an exciting new winery that is well worth keeping an eye on.
Tasting Note: Named after Lejeune’s daughter, this Cuvée is a blend of Grenache, slate-planted Syrah and old vine Carignan planted on granite soils. The intense nose emits red cherry and garrigue aromas through this medium-bodied wine. In the mouth, black fruits and pepper dominate whilst rounded tannins leave a savoury edge on the finish.
