Founded in 1983, Eberle is one of the oldest estates in the Californian district of Paso Robles, Gary Eberle owner and founder of the winery still makes the wines today. The German name Eberle translates to 'small boar', depicted on the labels. We are extremely fortunate to be able to offer a small parcel of the stunning 1996 Cabernet, which has been released directly from the winery itself.
Tasting Note: The perfumed nose displays aromas of blackcurrant and stewed plum with aged notes of tobacco, mocha and savoury spice intermingling to add complexity. On the palate the wine has medium-weight, with lovely soft, mellow tannins which lead into a lingering, savoury finish. A delicious example of aged Californian Cabernet, at a hugely accessible price.
