Winemaker Eric Monnin was so inspired by the Condrieu style whites from the Rhône that he decided to produce his own version in the far reaches of southern France. Viognier, the Condrieu varietal, is similar in body to Chardonnay, with an exotic twist. Monnin ages the Voignier in 70% new oak which results in a fantastically concentrated and bold wine called Dignité.
Tasting Note: Dignité is rich, powerful and packed with apricot and peach fruit flavours. The oak ageing adds complexity and texture with hints of vanilla, hazelnut and spice.
