3.1 Philip Lim: Spring/Summer 2013

Phillip Lim’s SS13 runway collection was inspired by the ‘Cut Up’, a technique used by the Dadaists that involved using pre-existing material and altering it. Lim illustrated this by clashing layers of floral, chequered and plain print to assemble mannish-tailored tops, grungy sheer dresses and boyfriend jackets over pyjama trousers, teamed with abstract graphic tees, baggy dungarees and biker boots.
