Alexis Bittar's penchant for extraordinary jewellery was conceived when his parents bought him an auction lot of antique jewellery at the tender age of 13. While studying in New York, Bittar indulged his interest by selling vintage accessories on the lower streets of Manhattan, a hobby which led to the launch of his debut collection in 1990. Since then, Bittar's resolutely bold, colourful jewellery has become a worldwide hit, gracing the cover of Vogue and leading to collaborations with fashion designer Michael Kors and London's Victoria & Albert Museum.
