HAVAIANAS

+ more

A sunshine staple the world over, Havaianas sandals were introduced in 1962. Inspired by Japanese Zori sandals, Havaianas were first constructed with fabric straps and rice straw soles. The Brazilian-born flip flops were given a Rio de Janeiro-inspired makeover in 1998 in support of the country hosting the World Cup. In the past decade, Havaianas' popularity has sky-rocketed, with designs in a plethora of colours, detail and shapes. Even toddlers can enjoy the Havaiana craze with miniature sizes for the newly-walking. - less
