Hill House School was founded on the principle that children must be educated for a world community. This international approach was encouraged from the beginning, ever since Hill House was founded in Switzerland in 1949. Two years later, the English arm of the school was launched in Hans Place, London.

Hill House is the only remaining London establishment run by its founding family. Pupils are still encouraged to be world-wise, with a broad mind always considerate of other nations and cultures.
