Chanel fine jewellery

Parisian fashion house Chanel has launched Constellation du Lion, a haute joaillerie range that marks the 80th anniversary of the brand’s first fine jewellery collection, Exhibition de Bijoux de Diamants.

Available in Harrods’ Fine Jewellery Room, the range is inspired by the fashion house’s 1932 collection, which featured Coco Chanel’s signature innovative designs and favoured motifs, including Art Deco and astrological references.

The stunning centrepiece is a sautoir that displays a rock-crystal hand-sculpted lion, combined with a comet to symbolise the constellation of Leo (Coco Chanel’s star sign). The collection also includes the Comet necklace, featuring a 15 carat diamond set in the heart of the star, the Celeste brooch in white gold, diamonds and pearls (above) and the Etoile Filante necklace, which drapes around the neck with a cascade of diamonds, and the label’s first ever tiara.
