Nabil El-Nayal is a finalist for the
prestigious Fashion Fringe award, set up by fashion writer Colin
McDowell in association with IMG Fashion. This year the judging
panel for the award includes Claudia Schiffer, designer Roland
Mouret and Professor Roy Peach from the London College of
Fashion.
Nabil El-Nayal was selected alongside
Jung-Yoon Shin and
Zara Gorman by the Harrods buying team as part
of the Spring/Summer 2011 Harrods Launches campaign - a platform
for showcasing new and exceptional design talent of the future.
And Syrian-born El-Nayal is quickly proving himself to be one to
watch. He is no stranger to awards, having previously won the
British Fashion Council Scholarship Scheme by impressing a judging
panel which included Burberry Chief Creative
Director Christopher Bailey.
Fellow Fashion Fringe finalists include Fyodor Golan and Heidi
Leung; all three will be given studio space throughout the summer
to work on a capsule collection for London Fashion Week in
September. The overall winner will be announced after the show.
Good luck Nabil!
