THE SHOW: It's awards season, and everyone knows that "nothing says I'm back like backless," with this in mind red carpet favourite Badgley Mischka put a lot of work into the back detailing on the brand's famously jaw-dropping gowns. A skin-tight taupe gown sported a glimmering diamante deco bow just between the shoulder blades, and a curve contouring, floor-sweeping, black silk gown showed off clusters of glittering gold sequins and diamonds in a geometric, Egyptian design. Indeed, the best dresses in this collection conjured images of Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra, heavily embellished with intricate beading across tight bodices. Other hits included an innovative gown with a full brocade skirt and an almost furry sequin, knit top.

WHO WE SAW: Model, actress and philanthropist Selita Ebanks caused a flashbulb flurry in the front row.

WHAT THEY WORE: Evening gowns at 10am!
