Dugat-Py is one of the top domaines in Gevrey-Chambertin. It is run by husband and wife team Bernard Dugat and Jocelyne (ex-Py). They own around 10 hectares of vines, including several Premiers and Grands Crus.
The grapes for the Coeur de Roy cuvée are all taken from just outside their house, near the top of the village. The vines in this parcel are all over 50 years old, making a very concentrated yet balanced wine.
Tasting Note: A deep ruby red colour, the Chambertin Coeur offers aromas of blackberry, game, and dark chocolate. The palate is medium bodied, with soft, round tannins, and an outstandingly long length.
