- Tasting Note:
Light golden in colour, the Pico comprises of Carignan Blanc and Vermentino – or ‘Rolle’ as it is locally known. Clean and fresh on the nose, the Vermentino adds a flowery perfume with a hint of lime, whilst the Carignan Blanc rounds out the palate adding body and weight. As a result the Pico is lovely and fresh to the finish.

Domaine du Poujol is a family-owned winery located to the west of Montpellier in the Languedoc. Vineyards are planted on well drained limestone soils across a number of hillside blocks. The higher than usual magnesium content in the soil helps to retain a certain freshness in the wines. Natural, wild fermentation is used and chemicals are avoided in the vineyard which allows the unique charm of the terroir to be captured in these fantastic wines.
