- Tasting Note:
Floral and perfumed fruit with juicy cassis and cherry aromas, the 2006 shows good depth with a distinctive Nebbiolo structure. This is balanced by ripe blackberry fruit, a savoury smoky depth and hints of spice and leathery notes. At three years old, this wine is still very youthful with great concentration and elegance.

Based in Barbaresco, Bruno Rocca took charge of the family business in 1978 and decided early on that all wine produced at the estate would now be sold in bottle. Rocca has since risen to the highest echelons of quality in Barbaresco and continues to climb above this exceptional level with his elegant 2006 vintage. Stylistically, Rocca is a consummate modernist, producing wines with great intensity of fruit balanced by a typical Piemontese structure and a judicious use of oak. The estate holds some twelve hectares of vineyards, of which five are planted in the prestigious Rabajà Cru.
