Overview

Tasting Note:
Both delicate and complex, the Belle Epoque Rosé 2004 masterfully blends the aromas of flowers and fruits. The fragrance of peonies gives way to notes of fresh red fruits (raspberries and strawberries), citrus (oranges and pink grapefruit), and finally pomegranate. Round, supple and harmonious, the Belle Epoque Rosé 2004 develops a silky long finish in the mouth.

Perrier Jouët began with a love story. In 1811 a local cork merchant, Pierre-Nicolas Perrier celebrated his marriage to Adèle Jouët by creating a Champagne house in Epernay. Perrier Jouët Champagne soon became highly sought-after for its quality and finesse, enjoying a passionate following from the Royal Courts of Queen Victoria to Napoleon III and King Leopold of Belgium. Adèle Jouët was meticulous in ensuring high quality wines and as she once said, "I supply high-quality Champagnes and charge accordingly."

The famous bottles with their enamel flowers designed by the great art nouveau designer Emile Gallé in 1902 were forgotten for a brief period because of shortages during the war, but were rediscovered in the cellar in 1964 and today grace the bottles of Belle Epoque.
