Catwalk to Counter: Laura Mercier The Art of Lining

Perfect eyeliner never goes out of style. Seen backstage season after season, this eye trend is worth mastering for your beauty repertoire. Luckily, Laura Mercier’s new collection, Laura's Secrets - The Art Of Line, includes everything you need for a sultry lined look; Sasha Ghodstinat, Laura Mercier National Artist, showed us how to get the most out of this must-have kit.

Catwalk to Counter: Laura Mercier The Art of Lining
  1. 1

Begin by applying Tinted Moisturiser all over the face. Blend Secret Concealer with a couple of drops of Repair Eye Serum and apply under eyes – this will help hydrate the area and reflect the appearance of dark circles. Finish with Cheek Colour in Orange Blossom.

  2. 2

Take the Tightline Cake Liner from the Laura's Secrets - The Art Of Line and wet the flat end of the dual eye brush. Work the product on the back of your hand until it becomes creamy, then gently press around the lash line – this method makes it easy to get a defined line, even if you don’t have a steady hand.

  3. 3

Next use the Cavier Stick from the Laura's Secrets - The Art Of Line, along with a smudge brush, to gently create a soft smoky outline around the eye. For a defined finish, use the Crème Eye Liner with the angled edge of the dual eye brush. Remember to keep as close to the lash line as possible for a natural look.

  4. 4

Finish with Full Blown Volume Supreme Mascara to sculpt and nourish lashes; a nude lipstick and gloss will complement the look. Try Crème Lip Colour in Brigitte, teamed with Lip Glacé in Nectar.

Final Result

Defined yet soft, this look is subtle enough for day, yet can be amped up for evening with a slick of red lipstick. Laura's Secrets - The Art Of Line is your one-stop kit for all your lining needs, and proves that feline flicks and smoky eyes aren’t complicated if you have the right products.
