3.1 Phillip Lim
Phillip Lim mixed florals and tailoring in his latest runway collection...
"Pure pantone prozac for the chilly season, Phillip Lim introduced us to his muse, Soleil, who brightened up the wintery runways emblazoned with graphic prints."
Tara Gardner, Content Editor at Harrods.com
Florals in winter are rare - cool florals are even less likely but leave it to Phillip Lim to turn a traditional feminine pattern into the perfect partner for tailoring. The designer paired lily and iris-printed blouses and cropped jackets with voluminous wide-leg trousers in mint green and lavender. Wintery fabrics such as leather and suede appeared as panels on floaty frocks and shell tops while colour-blocking brought outerwear bang up-to-date. The stand-out piece? A shorn fur coat featuring a crimson collar, a cream body, one brown sleeve and the other lilac. Accessories included a hold-all leather bag with the word 'tote' embossed on it and the pointy booties that have become a Lim mainstay.
Who we saw: Into The Gloss' Emily Weiss.
