Alexander Wang proved his technical prowess in the ultimate conceptual collection...
"Extreme conditions and survival set the backdrop for the collection."
Alexander Wang proved he is at the height of his fashion game with the ultimate conceptual collection, staged in Brooklyn (much to the alarm of the fash pack). The show's theme was "extreme conditions and survival" - an apt notion in NYC's sub-zero temperatures. But the cold and distance were worth it as the designer paraded a serious line-up of outerwear that included shorn fur splashed with brightly coloured checks, laser-cut parkas and multi-pocketed crombies - the perfect storage for iPhones, pens and lipsticks. The show closed with a circle of models showcasing top-to-toe leather looks, which turned different colours of the rainbow thanks to heat technology.
Who we saw: Karlie Kloss and her fellow supers.
What they wore: Lacquered bowl cuts for the ultimate boyish runway look.
In three words: Completely Mind Blowing.
