Antonio Berardi was inspired by architecture in this highly-technical collection...
Antonio Berardi once again showed off his sartorial skills in a highly-technical collection that was inspired by architecture. The hourglass silhouette was emphasised by sculpted dresses, some with curved leg-of-lamb sleeves, others with harnessed bodices, giving the illusion of two separate garments. While the colour palette remained restrained, with only a flash of regal purple and shimmery emerald cutting through the sea of black, each piece boasted panels of contrasting fabric, from grosgrain to quilted jacquard, for added texture. Berardi's collaboration with shoe designer Rupert Sanderson continues with corseted thigh-high boots providing further strength to the looks.
Who we saw: Olivia Palermo and Amber Le Bon chatting animatedly on the front row.
What they wore: A leather and tweed coat for Olivia and a cocoon coat and floral pencil skirt for Amber.
In three words: The Hourglass Returns.
