Olivier Rousteing brought luxe safari to his AW14 catwalk, modelled by the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley...
One can rely on two things each season at Balmain: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on Olivier Rousteing’s catwalk and a sharp-shouldered, wasp-waisted blazer. Both looked especially fierce in the AW14 show, which featured safari staples like khaki colours, multi-pocket vests, leopard prints and butter-soft leathers to create the ultimate in wild adventure-chic. Tribal-style ring collars, oversized hoop earrings and whip-stitched leathers added to the effect. For day, paper bag-waisted leather trousers and peplum jackets are de rigeur, while eveningwear is all about the corseted pencil dress.
Who we saw: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on the catwalk.
What they wore: A midi lattice-woven black dress.
In three words: Safari Gets Glam.
