Christopher Bailey unveiled a parade of painted trench coats layered over billowing midi dresses for his latest collection...
We’re used to Burberry stealing the show, so to speak, at London Fashion Week, but this time around Christopher Bailey, fresh in his new position as CEO, outdid his own work by staging a runway show, concert and live recording all in one go. With the most star-studded front row in the capital, including Harry Styles, Jamie Campbell Bower, Poppy Delevingne and Bradley Cooper (in town post-Baftas to cheer girlfriend Suki Waterhouse modelling on the catwalk), the collection got underway with a parade of painted trench coats layered over billowing midi dresses. Sheepskin jackets and coats, also printed in autumnal leaf patterns, were topped with scarves worn unlooped and tucked under skinny belts. To the sounds of Paloma Faith performing live on stagem, Cara, Edie et al took their closing walk in oversized personalised ponchos.
Who we saw: Bradley Cooper.
What they wore: A Burberry pea coat.
In three words: Layer It Up.
