The Seventies were alive and well on Veronica Etro's über-glam catwalk...
The Etro woman's hippie roots continue to be firmly entrenched in the Seventies for AW14. From under a giant screen depicting the Italian house's signature patterns came a bevy of models in the most luxurious of layers, sashaying to the grooves of Marvin Gaye. Paisley overcoats, Mongolian fur jackets, artfully draped printed scarves and striped wool ponchos made for some of Veronica Etro's strongest outerwear yet. Underneath, the line-up was just as luxe, with silk printed dresses and velvet separates in rich hues. The colour palette was golden - from the light that shone down on the runway to the jacquard jackets shot through with gold silk, this collection is certain to set a warm glow on winter.
Who we saw: Kate Lanphear from US Vogue.
