Patchwork coats and ankle-grazing slip dresses brought Fendi into Autumn/Winter 2014 with elegant yet playful ease...
Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi mixed pure luxury with humour by opening the Fendi show with Cara Delevingne draped in a fur snood and carrying a bag bug in the shape of Karl himself. From there, patchworks the colour of nature took over, with curve-shoulder coats layered over flowing, pleated midi skirts and heeled, suede booties. Capes made a comeback, some in thick wool, others in fur, while smocked coats and hoods almost took on an Edwardian feel. Eveningwear was the epitome of boho-chic with black, sheer, ankle-grazing slip dresses adorned with just a smattering of sparkle.
