Stella McCartney gave sportswear a feminine spin with plenty of fringing and zip embroidery...
Energy abounded on Stella McCartney's runway, from the designer's zipped and fringed creations to the R'n'B tunes and Cara Delevingne and Joan Small's finale prance. Keeping her silhouette masculine, the designer kicked off with cocoon suit jackets and stirrup trousers teamed with sturdy platform lace-ups. Parkas in ivy green and midnight blue came decorated with zipped embroidery - a feature that continued on bucket bags. Cosy knitwear in natural colours followed, featuring handbags wrapped and tied around the body almost as if they were sweater arms. From there, itsy-bitsy party dresses took over, boasting Stella's inimitable sporty aesthetic, complete with looped fringing in shades of emerald and red that swung as the models sashayed.
