Alice Temperley looked to Byzantine architecture for her AW14 silhouette...
"The start of a new and exciting era for Temperley; the attitude for Winter 2014 is much savvier and sexier," revealed the show notes as a parade of rich separates and ornate dresses took to the runway. Inspired by Byzantine architecture, suiting featured luxurious brocade in teal and was layered under oversized scarves and wide-lapelled coats, with high-high suede boots upping the sexy factor. Meanwhile, daytime frocks came printed in pink, yellow and blue mosaics to reflect the stain-glass windows on Spanish cathedrals. Eveningwear, always an Alice Temperley strong suit, featured peek-a-boo black lace columns and ivory gowns with jet black beading - just perfect for the designer's celebrity following.
