There was a distinct military feel to Donatella Versace's collection, with uniform-inspired dresses and epaulette-shouldered coats...
For AW14 Versace paraded a seriously glam marching band, with models sporting uniform-inspired numbers complete with brass buttons and gold epaulettes. With their hair styled à la Donatella (long and poker straight with height at the crown), the likes of Lindsey Wixson and Georgia May Jagger showed off a variety of asymmetric dresses with satin panels in red, white and blue teamed with cage booties. Blazers and swing coats came double-breasted and buttoned up, worn either with figure-flattering bootleg trousers or bare legs and over-the-knee corseted boots while miniskirts were studded with rows of gold buttons. Gowns were cut on the bias and were adorned with gold hardware.
Who we saw: Leigh Lezark.
