Alice + Olivia AW15
The Seventies are here to stay, at least for AW15. Stacey Bendet was the latest designer to pay homage to the era at her Fashion Week presentation, where she was inspired by the Swinging Sixties and rock ‘n’ roll Seventies in London. It was as much about texture as it was about shapes: floral jacquards in rich reds and earth tones appeared on Mod shifts and short shorts while flowing maxi dresses and languid palazzo pants featured lace detailing. Coats were either shrunken to pea coat proportions or long and lean and embellished with Mongolian fur. Polo necks, enjoying a bit of a Renaissance this season, and thigh-high boots turned the looks from fancy to wearable.
Who we saw: UK Glamour's Fashion Director, Natalie Hartley.
What they wore: A rollneck jumper and blanket coat.
In a nutshell: Let's do the time warp again.
