Carolina Herrera AW15
"We saw a new take on chic day dressing with easy fluid pieces in a myriad of luxury fabrics."

Inspired by water, designer-to-the-stars Carolina Herrera presented ocean-sprayed gowns and undulated hems in a palette of ice blue and grey for Autumn/Winter 2015. Karlie Kloss opened the show in a wave-printed mini dress, ushering in a series of A-line numbers with wave-cut skirts and cocoon-backed tailoring. Boasting photo prints bonded with rich tweeds and embroidered jacquards, the garments were highly-technical yet had a calm ease to them. Icy shades were revved up with pops of red for that inimitable Herrera polish. Gowns, the designer speciality, came in cascading tulle with tiers of asymmetrical fabric wrapping the models' bodies - expect to see one on a red carpet soon. Kloss closed the show in a long, off-the-shoulder gown with a cloud-printed skirt for a dreamy conclusion to the line-up.
"The AW15 Herrera show was one of her best yet. Perfectly combining elegance with wearability, we saw a new take on chic day dressing with easy fluid pieces in a myriad of luxury fabrics. Whilst generally Herrera is reserved for the Upper East Side ladies, this was a young effortless collection which should see her take on a new younger customer," said Helen David, Harrods Fashion Director of Womenswear, Accessories, Fine Jewellery and Childrenswear, of the show.
Who we saw: Olivia Palermo, who got married wearing Herrera last summer, and Dianna Agron
