Florals were the order of the day at Fendi where Karl Lagerfeld unveiled leather apron dresses for the haute gardener among us and abstract flowers peeped out from handbags as the novelty accessory du jour. A parade of winter whites kicked off the show - frock coats, pencil dresses and crisp white shirts later evolving into red and black leather pairings teamed with fur wedge booties. From there came the patchwork series: skirts and oversized fur coats in shades of tobacco and orange and fur-trimmed cropped flares for a look that was straight out of the Seventies. Quilting is already shaping up to be a dominant trend for AW15. At Fendi it appeared on voluminous sleeveless parkas and even strapless mini dresses. Showcased by the new troupe of Supers, including Kendall Jenner, Joan Smalls, Lindsey Wixson and Lily Donaldson, it's easy to see how this collection appeals to Fendi's next generation of fans.
Who we saw: Carine Roitfeld.
What they wore: A brown fur jacket and pencil skirt.
In a nutshell: Aprons have never looked so luxe.
