Giorgio Armani AW15
In any Armani show there is a plethora of options for every kind of woman - from she who prefers a clean-line tailored suit and brogues to she who favours a feminine curve-hugging cocktail dress. In his Autumn/Winter line-up, the legendary designer pleased both types, as usual, but often rolled into one look, thanks primarily to his trouser-meets-skirt combo. Appearing in grey tailored fabric but made from a single cut of cloth, these were teamed with either mannish blazers or waisted jackets to appease all manner of tastes. Elsewhere, digi-printed maxi skirts were paired with gauzy silk blouses. The polo neck, seen everywhere this season, took on a modern shape, with sloping shoulders, a stand-up neck and oversized sleeves, almost resembling a sweatshirt. For evening, swap out your day blazer for a velvet one over your peg-leg trousers or slip into a beaded jacket.
Who we saw: Vogue UK's editor-in-chief, Alexandra Shulman.
What they wore: Her signature pencil skirt and knit combo.
