Matthew Williamson AW15
The master of print presented winter florals in rich shades of plum, saffron and burgundy for his Autumn/Winter collection. Satin was the star fabric, crafted into tea dresses, polished blouses and fluid trousers. Clashing prints is hardly a new concept but one that is so rarely well-executed. Williamson's mix of florals with leopard print worked thanks also to the contrast in fabrics - nubbly sheepskin on coats, butter-soft fringed suede on booties, fur cuffs on dresses - it was the height of Bohemian decadence. Gowns, another of the designer’s specialities, came plunging and slashed to the thigh although the fluid jumpsuits gave them a serious run for their money.
Who we saw: Tank's Caroline Issa.
What they wore: A tailored suit and coat.
In a nutshell: More is more.
