As the snow began to pile up outside on the New York City streets, designer Amy Smilovic presented a host of winter-white looks that were both chic and cosy. Chunky rollnecks were paired with wide-leg culottes, proving SS15’s biggest trouser trend definitely has legs, and topped off with generously-oversized coats. From there, nubbly jumpers with bracelet sleeves and midi A-line skirts took over – in shades of periwinkle and pistachio, they were fresh and feminine – and tailored separates in grey and navy presented the ideal working uniform for winter. Dressy denim, another of summer’s big trends, continued its reign in inky shades, appearing as a wrap top over navy culottes or a layered boiler suit while burgundy separates gave the collection a decidedly autumnal feel. A smattering of velvet brought the looks fluidly into evening.
Who we saw: Man Repeller’s Leandra Medine.
What they wore: A red cross-front dress layered over a burgundy polo shirt and white roll neck.
In a nutshell: Can we wear it all now, please?
