Donatella's signature high-octane glamour took a literal turn this season with a parade of sequined mini dresses, flared trouser suits and even accessories emblazoned with letters spelling out the label's name intermixed with emoticons, @ signs and hashtags. Executed in a palette of strong primaries on basic black and white, it was a sign that the label is as secure in its DNA as ever. Tailoring consisted of pinstripe suits layered over Versace-logoed blouses and stockings and cinched with wide belts. Outerwear included Sixties-style capes in poppy red and canary yellow and even furs were dyed to match layers underneath.
Who we saw: Vanessa Friedman, the ever chic Fashion Director of The New York Time.
What they wore: Black layers and her signature bun.
In a nutshell: Va-va-voom fashion.
