3.1 Phillip Lim SS15
"Juxtaposing fabrics and shapes, Phillip Lim created a series of 3-dimensional pieces that brought fluidity and newness to peplum tops, flirty skirts and sporty jackets," said Jason Tucker, Harrods' GMM of Womenswear. Playing on the notion of the boudoir, the designer paraded robe-like vests, pyjama trousers and silk separates that were comfy and sexy. Meanwhile, jacket fronts were cut in wave-like patterns, cleverly connecting like jigsaw pieces and were teamed with flippy skirts or cropped trousers for a more structured look. Sports influences run deep for Lim and were evident in the piped racerback tops and track shorts. Utility, as seen previously at Victoria Beckham, was at play, with buckled straps snaking their way onto organza-embroidered trousers and cut-away tops.
Who we saw: La Petite Anglaise blogger Ella Catliff.
What they wore: A sheer blouse, fluted skirt and chunky clogs.
In a nutshell: PJs never looked so chic.
