"For Spring/Summer 2015 Antonio Berardi presents a vision of opulence within turbulence," the show notes revealed. Indeed the designer's approach has always been about a duality: masculine and feminine, soft and structured - and the new season collection was the ultimate expression of this. The silhouette was either architecturally hourglass or softly ruffled and languid. Printed cocoon coats and trapeze shell tops came embroidered with jewels and worn over razor-sharp trousers - a Berardi signature. Dresses started off in stiff hourglass shapes and printed with abstract florals but later evolved into whisps of sheer chiffon layers encrusted with sequins. Meanwhile, sculpted jackets in poppy red came above blush-coloured palazzo pants for a modern day version of the working girl suit.
