Elie Saab SS15
From the swells of disco music to the plunging jumpsuits, there was more than a touch of Seventies about Saab's Spring/Summer offering. Inspired by the ocean and aquatic life, the designer issued yet another red carpet-worthy collection that is sure to be snapped up by Hollywood A-Listers come awards season, with even more choice than ever before. For day, it would be hard to beat a shirt dress in ombre hues or a blouson jacket teamed with tailored trousers. For evening, a cape-backed gown or sequin-encrusted mini dress sliced with sheer, wave-shaped panels is nothing short of show-stopping. Jumpsuits with scalloped appliqués on one side and lace shells tucked into high-waisted trousers offered a perfect alternative to after-hours attire. In a palette of lagoon green, sea mist blue and flecks of coral and tropical yellow, it was the perfect haute holiday wardrobe.
