"The SS15 Fendi show was a fresh departure with orchid printed mini dresses and beautiful laser-cut leather pieces that were edgy whilst sexy and feminine."
Helen David, Harrods Fashion Director of Womenswear
There was a fresh new edge for Spring/Summer at the fashion house as Silvia Venturini Fendi and Karl Lagerfeld paraded a collection that was more Christopher Kane than Fendi. With next-generation models Cara Delevingne walking exclusively for the label and Kendall Jenner making her Milan Fashion Week debut, there was no doubt the creative directors are after a new crop of Fendi fans with their youthful, energised line-up. The florals taking New York and London by storm appeared here in shades of blue and grey with a hint of pink printed onto black silk minis, draped trousers and bomber jackets. Denim or leather trousers came with elasticated waists for a sporty look and shrunken jackets boasted panels of fringing. The cut was key - dresses were sliced horizontally to reveal flashes of skin as the models moved, trousers came topped with demi-skirts and tops were partly caped over the left shoulder. Accessories-wise it was a feast for the eyes with oversized woven bangles in summery shades and glossy patent top-handle totes.
