"This was the stand-out show of the season for me. Riccardo Tisci sent out look after look of perfect monochrome lace and leather interspersed with plenty of studs, corsets, lace-up tops, and thigh-high boots. Billowing poet blouses toughened up with leather gilets and jackets and paired with flippy skirts were the look of the season. Fabulous."
Helen David, Harrods Fashion Director of Womenswear
It was lauded the show of the season by the fash pack and with Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and North West sitting front row (baby had her own seat), Tisci's SS15 line-up was one of the most Instagrammed of Paris Fashion Week - a sure sign that this collection will be a success months before it even hits the shelves. The designer looked back to the early work he produced for the house some 10 years ago and incorporated details into his medieval warrior line-up: religious cross motifs appeared on poet blouses and rock & roll leather spray-on trousers (which Tisci did before anyone else) were high-waisted and featured contrast top-stitching. Coats that almost resembled armour were whip-stitched and embroidered while corset dresses came flared and lacy for the ultimate hard/soft mash-up. Black and white striped blousons were belted or tucked into stove-pipe trousers (another Tisci signature) and worn with lace-up, over-the-knee toe-less boots. In short, it was a sexy, tough-as-nails collection that perfectly embodies the dark romance of the brand - and Tisci himself.
