For Spring/Summer 2015, the Marchesa girl is looking very romantic indeed. Making a one-off appearance on the London Fashion Week schedule, Marchesa designers, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, sent models, including Georgia May Jagger and Jacquetta Wheeler, down the runway swathed in 3D flowers, frothy layers of tulle and appliqué aplenty. Inspired by Woodstock, dresses definitely had a folky feel to them; guipure panels appeared on top of lace and next to mini 3D flowers, while romantic ruffles came on skirts, puff sleeves and splashed across sleeveless tailored tops.
Gowns came in gold, fresh white, fuchsia, powder blue or black, with the black designs featuring bright yellow or blue large-printed birds, flying up and down fabric. Our favourite? Jacquetta Wheeler wearing a pearlescent fuchsia floor-length gown, that featured a gorgeous flower-appliquéd cropped over-top in complementary pinks and reds.
